It furthermore ... read more

As the wildfire of revolution and reform spreads through the Arab world, it jumps into the Palestinian territories and has leaders calling to get the long-stalled Palestinian elections back on track. Is the US Losing Its Grip on the Mideast?

Israel's refusal to resume the West Bank construction freeze in order to pave way for direct negotiations with the Palestinians is a major blow to Obama's foreign policy. The announcement ends months of U.S.-Israeli negotiations and can be seen has a virtual death sentence to the latest round of peace talks, since the Palestinians have no intentions of returning to the ... read more

What Free Jets Doesn’t Get

It seems like a couple of billion dollars of free F-35 fighter planes doesn’t buy you a lot in the Middle East these days. Despite multiple incentive offers by the United States, Israel said thanks but “no thanks” to its closest ally. The US announced today that they would stop asking Israel to freeze building on the West Bank where the Palestinians want their future ... read more

Another “Last Effort” for Peace

The Obama administration seems to be doing everything in its power to keep the staggering Mideast peace process alive.  The U.S.-mediated direct talks, which were launched only four weeks ago, have come to a grinding halt after Prime Minister Netanyahu defied tremendous U.S. pressure to extend a West Bank construction moratorium, which ended September 26. The ... read more
