He has had a front seat to many national and international news events including hurricane Katrina, the coverage of the terrorist attacks in New York and Pakistan and 3 Presidential elections.

H1N1 Risks Continue

Dr. Thomas Frieden, MD said at today's CDC H1N1 briefing that the H1N1 virus is widespread throughout the United States, although there continues to be an increase in the number of vaccinations available. Jump in Pediatric Deaths Reported

At a CDC Press briefing Thomas Frieden, MD said this week there have been 19 pediatric deaths due to laboratory confirmed H1N1 . This is the largest weekly increase of reported pediatric deaths and it brings to 114 the number of children who have died.
