Photos of the Year 2010December 30, 2010 - 7:28 PM | by: Adam Housley
For nine years sitting in the front row of history, I have been blessed to see and report on some amazing stories around the globe for Fox News, but 2010 could top them all when you consider all that has come, gone and in the case of Haiti….continues.
From the first weeks of the year when destruction leveled a country already devastated with poverty and corruption, to our trip with Major League Baseball in Taiwan, the stories just seemed to keep coming. There was the oil spill that enveloped the Gulf Coast and tore into the lives of so many yet again in Louisiana, then came fire season and of course the election. But could have anyone envisioned the hope and amazement that evolved over the course of a few hours in Copiapo’ Chile? Then the Giants with their first wWorld Series win since Ike was in the White House and the last official trip for Pearl Harbor Veterans to remember “A day that will live in infamy”.
The following 30 pictures are just a fraction of a few that I took along the way. There are so many more stories and so many more people that we met this year, but these are the ones that caught my eye. Like the great people who work at ‘The Snowball Express’ and the encouragement and support they bring to kids and families of fallen soldiers. There’s also the tough ongoing battle along the border and our men and women who continue to fight the war on terror.
As we enter 2011, may this year bring more stories of hope and miracles like Chile and may you and your families have a year filled with happiness, good health and amazing times with each other. Let me know what you think!
