Two white British citizens, both Muslim converts, were killed on December 10 by a U.S. drone attack in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.
An official, who requested anonymity due to his close knowledge of the operation, tells Fox News the men had assumed Abu Bakr and Mansoor Ahmed as their names. Ahmed is believed to be Gerry Smith. Bakr’s other identity is given only as Stephan.
Two militant fighters of unconfirmed nationality also died in the strike.
Pakistani intelligence and government officials are denying the news. However our source says both were killed in a vehicle while working for extremist elements.
A similar suspected drone attack in September killed another British national in northwest Pakistan.
