14:36:59 Witness from building across the street tells me via email he saw 4 stretchers enter the building

Update: From Fox producer Phil Vogel.

15:15 Briefing on Discovery Situation Expected

Update: From Senate producer, Trish Turner

16:28  Law enforcement are beginning to release people voluntarily who are in buildings beside and across from Discovery.  I just spoke with two women who said police made a loud speaker announcement.

No one is permitted to remove their car, however, from a nearby parking lot.

Update: From Senate producer, Trish Turner

17:44 I’ve talked my way into a secure building across from Discovery. We have a head-on shot of most of the building.

We’re TAPE only, unfortunately.
Just shot VO of about 8 state police SWAT team members departing the building.

The police presence appears to be softening a bit – but there is an occassional officer with a dog, no doubt looking for that backpack that could contain explosives.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to see the ambulance depart with the body. Unclear where they would exit the bldg with it, however — there is a secluded driveway (Discovery Dr) that could be used that would be out of our view.

Cannot leave the building or add staff, so I’m staying here w/ cam until we see this wrap up.

Update: From Senate producer, Trish Turner

18:06 A remote explosives robot from Metro Transit Police is being sent down Discovery Place (name of road) toward the building right now.

We cannot see if it’s going into the building.
