Escapees Tracy Province (right) and John McCluskey (left).

Wednesday UPDATE
INTERPOL has just issued an “Orange Notice” alert in the search for McCluskey and Welch. this means information about the two will be sent to police of 188 member countries.
Following the trail of the Arizona fugitives continues to be so close, but yet so far away for authorities. Word this hour that they are either hiding out in northern Montana, or headed into Canada to try and evade capture. U.S. Marshals tell us they believe that John McCluskey has allowed his hair and beard grow out and dyed it black and that his accomplice/fiance’/cousin has dyed her hair blond. Meantime, Royal Canadian Mountain police say they don’t believe the two have yet crossed into Canada, but that there are a number of places they could enter without being detected.

The hunt is on and now moves towards the Canadian border and Glacier National Park. Agents from Federal, State, Local and now International agencies are all involved in the manhunt for 45 year-old John McClusky and his accomplice/Fiance’/cousin, 43 year-old Casslyn Welch. The two fugitives apparently refer to themselves as a “modern day Bonnie & Clyde”, both are also considered to be armed and dangerous.

On a story such as this, we obviously can’t follow the trail on the ground, so we do so using our contacts in law enforcement, while monitoring all outlets for the latest information…and in this case the trail leads from Arizona across at least 5 western states. Just this morning, law enforcement agents in Arizona are reminding people to be on the lookout and contact police immediately if you spot these two.

The story goes like this…on July 30th Casslyn Welch is alleged to have thrown wire cutters over the fence of a privately run prison in Kingman, Arizona. On the other side were inmates John McClusky, Tracy province and Daniel Renwick, who allegedly used the cutters to escape. The theory is….at this point the group split-up, with Renwick heading towards Colorado, where he was captured short time later after a car chase. The other three are believed to have headed to New Mexico, where an elderly couple was found murdered and burned and their truck found 100 miles away abandoned near Albuquerque.

Witness accounts then place the three (McClusky, Welch & Province) in Colorado and then onto Yellowstone National Park. Province was captured not far from Yellowstone yesterday morning while trying to hitchhike to Caspar, Wyoming. More on this story coming soon…..what do you think about private prisons, this manhunt and the crazy nature of this story?
