ST LOUIS – When the triple digit temperatures of this week’s heat wave hit St. Louis, pool, pond or even a fountain served as a means of cooling down self and soul.  

“We saw other people do it, so why not? –  It’s hot out here!” said Ed Dejaynes, who took the family for a dip in Keiner Fountain while visiting from Decatur Illinois.

While fountain swimming may not be for everyone, staying cool is something everyone enduring the scorching weather can appreciate.
