Warrior Games

Today marks the last day of the first ever Warrior Games. Wounded servicemen and women have been competing all week at the Olympic Training Center and Air Force Academy in Colorado.Competitions have been taking place in seven sports, including archery, cycling, basketball, shooting, swimming, track and field, and volleyball.

Eligibility includes wounded, ill, and injured service members from differing categories: upper body, lower body, spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries as well as post-traumatic stress.  The games are geared towards younger veterans with serious injuries and designed to inspire recovery, capitalize on physical fitness, and promote new opportunities for growth and achievement.
