Times Square Reopens
May 2, 2010 - 7:38 AM | by: Michael SorrentinoAfter being shut down for half a day, New York’s Times Square has slowly been reopening throughout the night after a truck with explosives was discovered Saturday evening.
New York Police Dept quickly contained the area after a T-Shirt vendor notified police that he saw smoke in a Nissan Pathfinder parked in the immensely popular tourist hot spot.
At 7:30am Sunday, Police removed the barricades blocking 45th street where the vehicle was located, making the area fully reopened to automobiles.
