Heavy, Wet Snow Smothers Capitol Hill

February 6, 2010 - 1:37 AM | by: Jamie Nelson

Last December’s snow storm brought over a foot and half of light, dry snow that was easy to shovel and hard to pack into a snowball.  This is not that snow storm.

Washington is being hammered by heavy, wet snow that, while perfect for snowmen, is bending branches, toppling trees, and stressing the capital city’s ability to keep streets clear. And that’s only in the first few hours.
