The suspect in the Ft. Hood shootings is awake and talking, but his attorney says he’s not saying much. John Galligan, attorney for Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, says his client is sedated as he recovers in a San Antonio hospital room. Galligan was only able to talk with Hasan briefly. No charges have been filed in the case, but Hasan’s leave and pass privileges have officially been revoked. Galligan is worried that Hasan will not be able to get a fair trial here. He wants speculation on the the case to stop saying, “We need to stand back, put the brakes on before wildly commenting on a lot of things that we later find out aren’t true.”
