Pawlenty ‘Fired Up And Ready To Fight Back’

November 8, 2009 - 2:31 PM | by: Robert Lee

DES MOINES- Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) took a slogan from President Obama and changed it slightly to fit the mood of the party last night. Stating repeatedly that he was “Fired up and ready to fight”, Pawlenty spoke for about a half hour at an annual Republican fundraiser.

The Governor was in Des Moines Saturday night to speak to all Iowa Republicans, and some say test the waters for a possible 2012 bid for President. Steve Brown caught up with the traveling Governor for a sit down interview. Watch a portion of the interview here with reaction from the Iowa Democratic Party and O. Kay Henderson from Radio Iowa.

R. LOUIS UPTON

DonJM, You voted for President Barack Obama, (Mr. Personality), and you got exactly what you voted for. The next 4th. of July, I will turn 70 years of age. In September of 1957, the Little Rock Nine, and, in conjunction with the desires of one of my heros, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., influenced one of my main, major goals in life, and that was to join the Civil Rights Movement, to help right, a terrible wrong. In 1968, the U.S. Congress passed a Civil Right's Bill that drove the final nails into the coffin of broken promises, and racial discrimination. Since then, it has been my dream to see an American of African Descent, who loves the U.S. Constitution, and our Bill of Rights as much as I do, sit in the Oval Office, as President of the United States of America. DonJM, When you get tired of repeating what you hear, to make your life much simpler, get a Parrot.

It would make more sense to me, to elect a president who had actully done something politically, other than raise money and make vague promises that cannot be kept, but which, for some reason, the electorate buys. I am also amazed at how many people (read that Democrats) vote for their candidates trying to the proverbial "free lunch".

The Republicans have NOBODY to run against Obama in 2012. Look who you have: Sarah "Two Brain Cells" Palin; Newt "Been Married 3-4 Times" Gingrich; Tim "Mr. Charisma" Pawlenty; Bobby "Like a Deer Caught in the Headlights" Jindal; Mitt "Somebody Stop Me from Grinning" Romney; Mike "The World Is 6000 Years Old" Huckabee. Obama will eat any of these people alive, just on personality!

The police are doing their jobs as directed. Our liberal anti-American politicians are the problem.

Pawlenty more taxes. He uses the liberal tag "fees" and taxes everything from snowmobile use, cigarettes, state park admission, and auto licensing. The he claims to have lowered taxes. He is a Rhino.

Pawlenty is a good guy, but not very charismatic. Palin on the other hand is a rock star. It will be interesting how the next couple years play out.... http://cooperscopy.blogspot.com/

I have the answer!

Palin was the most qualified candidate of all of them in 2008 and she can get things done. It was pathetic that more of you didn't stand up when she was being vilified by the left. The libs including Obama are nothing but cowards. Obama has yet to prove his citizenship. And we all know we don't want Nancy Pelosi being Vice President either. The solution is very simple. Have Pelosi arrested and charged with treason now since she met with our enemies during the campaign giving aid and comfort to the enemy which in a time of war is treason. Biden needs to be impeached for also supporting the terrorists and Obama who was never qualified to be president should be removed now since he is not an American as required by the Constitution. I think you'll find that ACORN threw the election and I think if investigated, you'll find McCain actually won the election.

Wow, rocket_engineer you must have been in on a little "stimulus" money and still have a job to have that attitude. Obama has done very little for most Americans unless they are rich, and happen to be Democrats. His bi-partisan rhetoric is a joke. Good thing he looks good because he never misses an opportunity to be on t.v. My question is: Will there be an America in 2012 after he's done?

Obama 2012???!!! Seriously now, the coutnry can't even take the remainder of his term, let alone another 4 years of mass destruction to our economy and our constitution. Grow up, don't look at party alone, think before you blindly act. Ask responsible questions, what are they doing? Why? Then vote.

Obama hasn't averted a cataclysmic economic disaster, he's created one. When he was elected, the unemployment rate was only 6.7%. He boasted that if they passed the stimulus, he garanteed that the unemployment rate would stay under 8%. Well, me bucko, the unemployment rate is now over 10% under his stewardship. I'd say that he's well on his way to being a failure like Jimmy Carter.

"President Pawlenty" it has a nice ring to it.... I'm going to use his quote "a manure spreader in a wind storm" when coping with jive talkers!

You obviously have bought into the liberal spin and have learned to hate yet another mainstay in America. In case you have never had medical treatment lately, let me tell you that the insurance companies stand in the gap between outrages costs billed by hospitals. Unfortunately, this has been caused by yet another problem our loud mouthed liberal leadership has refused to deal with; that of illegal immigrants! Nothing is free, someone has to pay.

Over decades, the health insurance industry has created a system that works fervently to deny claims for most trite of reasons, proclaim every imaginable scenario as a pre-existing condition and increase premiums way beyond any other industry's practice all in the name of incredible profits. We the People of the United States for our common welfare have a right for better. The Private insurance industry is scared and spending millions to scare the public. Don't be fooled. What is a threat to them will only benefit the public.

This "Tea Bagger" will support a God fearing, Constitution-protecting, unborn baby protecting, Bill of Rights protecting candidate. The candidates need to express that.
