A “Red Dawn” Casts On Detroit
October 21, 2009 - 1:46 PM | by: Robert LeeA remake of the 1984 thriller "Red Dawn" has begun filming in downtown Detroit complete with gunfire and tanks.
The original film cast a young Patrick Swayze, Lea Thompson, Charlie Sheen and Jennifer Grey in a scenario where the United States comes under attack from a foreign country. A group of young rebels calling themselves the "Wolverines" fight to take back their homeland.
The new film takes a similar plot, with some modern changes. The MGM film is due out in November of 2010.
