CHICAGO, IL. U.S. Senator Durbin (D-IL) is asking the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to expand a new rapid water quality monitoring program to Illinois and Lake Michigan. Federal authorities – with help from local animal welfare groups – have launched a nation-wide crackdown on dog-fighting rings. Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton identified the killer that terrorized Gaffney, South Carolina as 42 year old Patrick Tracy Burris.
