Auctioning Rock ‘n Roll Letters, Photos

July 28, 2009 - 11:44 AM | by: Jill Dobson

Attention fans of the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna and Bob Dylan…  A new online auction features more than 450 items from your favorite rock ‘n roll and pop stars.

Among the items, 21 faxes Madonna sent to her then-boyfriend/bodyguard in the early 1990s, an erotic video-tape she make for him during the filming of 1993’s “Dangerous Game,” and tapes containing 17 minutes of voicemail messages she left him.

Rocker Jimi Hendrix’s first known contract --from when he was still known as Jimmy Hendrix -- is on the auction block.  Peter Siegel, CEO of auction company Gotta Have It, tells FOX News, “We have Jimi Hendrix’s first recording contract from 1965. Someone was lucky enough to sign this young guitarist to a contract and they gave him all of $1.00 for the contract.  We have the actual document signed by Jimi Hendrix.  It’s one of the highlights of the auction.  Very very important.”

Also on sale, Bob Dylan’s original working lyrics for his song “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall,” outfits worn by Elvis Presley, and more than one hundred Beatles items, from signed letters to photographs.  The auction continues through August 5th.

Sweet! We can click the link to read more about the auction. Oh wait, we can't as they don't check their content before they post it!
