Uninsured? A look at the Fifty Million

July 24, 2009 - 11:37 AM | by: Robert Lee

A man limps into a small store front clinic in Chicago, he has torn ligaments and no insurance. The Irving Park Clinic is his last resort short of the emergency room , but this mostly volunteer clinic only takes needy patients without healthcare or any type of insurance. It is completely free says owner George Maltezos and all funding comes from donations and fundraisers. But help like this is rare, most people simply go without any care at all, or go to the emergency room for costly treatments. Fox News reports on who makes up some of the nearly fifty million uninsured.
