New Jackson Raid

July 22, 2009 - 2:42 PM | by: Adam Housley

UPDATE
"The search warrant authorized law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter," Ed Chernoff, Murray's attorney, said in a statement posted on his law firm's Web site.
Chernoff said agents left with "a forensic image" of a computer hard drive and 21 documents
Now to how this all played out today. We have been following the Jackson death investigation since that fateful night. Adding Hollywood into the mix, especially in this day and age of technology makes wading through the reports and daunting and many of them are flat out false. I have just gotten this information from a impeccable source:
The big focus of this Houston raid at the office of Dr. Conrad Murray is the drug Propofol also known as Dirprivan. The Los Angeles Police Department is lead on this case and the search warrant is currently under seal. I am told that investigators are looking for "anything and everything". Not only is there a criminal investigation involved, but also a research investigation being conducted by the DEA to obtain as much information as possible about this drug.
Right now Propofol is not controlled, restricted and not a prescription drug, so it is not yet under DEA enforcement, that could change as a result of this investigation and as a result of Michael Jackson's death. That is why the DEA is very interested in what they find in Dr. Murray's office.
This drug can legally be used, but it has to come from a doctor and there are penalties for trafficking or for giving out too much. If a patient dies, criminal charges can be enhanced. I am told the DEA is extremely interested to know the actions of Dr. Murray and his work with this drug, also if he had been giving out any other drugs to other patients.
When contacted by Fox News, the office for Dr. Murray's attorney, Ed Chernoff, responded with this statement: "This is unexpected to us. We are looking into it and hope to have a statement posted on our website as soon as we can."

what some people won't do for money! as I heard he initially wanted one million a month as MJ's personal doctor-- and ended up settling for 150,000-- makes me sick-- even though MJ was definitely an addict, there isn't enough money in this world to pay me to shoot someone up with a lethal drug-- knowing the risk I would be taking each and everytime!

i grew up with jackson. i am also a recovered or recovering addict. RX drugs to be exact. i have not used in years, but none the less i was one. A person told me once when i realized finally i was addicted to "pain meds" "IT IS THE METHOD OF THE DRUG" I did not realize i was becoming addicted, but i did not have high dollar doctors that kept feeding me constantly either. and let me tell you addiction is hard and you most times dont even KNOW you have or are "becoming" addicted. Yes he could have very well been addicted to drugs, but and ALLLLLL doctors and medical professional know this. "IT IS THE METHOD OF THE DRUG" and i was also on a fire department on the rescue team. number one that doctor of all people "cardio" knew not to give him cpr on a bed. Number two "he didnt know where he lived"? right. that doctor must have been on some heavy drugs himself not to know where jackson lived as long as he had been his doctor.

Justice will be served when America stops funding our home grown drug dealers aka the pharmaceutical companies who continue to peddle drugs like to candy to children, with commercial ads that promise to cure yet have the typical may cause death, vomiting, explosive diarrhea, high blood pressure and dizziness side effects....

Am I the only one that thinks the news media is dwelling on this so the current Admin can operate without transparency?

Addiction to pain medication is all to common when people are hurting physically and to throw in emotional pain well there you have it. My father also was an addict, I hated that part of him but loved all the other parts. My father was a good person whom dealt with the demons of addiction.

Just for the record--I DID NOT HATE MICHAEL JACKSON! I am a Grandmother who fell in love with the Jackson Five when I was all but 11 years old! My Children and Granddaughter all loved Michael, also. We played and danced to his Music. When he passed, we cried. But the facts, albeit sad-are the FACTS. Michael was an all-out junkie. it is important to acknowledge this fact, because kids can learn from it, and hopefully know that street drugs are not the only one which can kill someone. Abuse of RX drugs can ALSO KILL! If there is anything good that can come out of this tragis situation, let it be that LIVES CAN BE SAVED! So, yeah, I'm not perfect-NO ONE IS!

Michael Jackson was child-like SOMETIMES! There was nothing child-like about the way he conducted his drug-laden symphony. He knew how to play the right tune that would make the Doctors sway over to his way of thinking. He would carefully maneuver the twists and turns of life, so that he could be "ON" when he needed to be--and in a stupor when off the job. He was willing to pay any price-like junkies usually do. Junkies steal possesions or money to get their fix. Michael stole himself from his children. I loved Michael's talents. But Michael Jackson's worst enemy was himself.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSES. I BELIEVE THAT THE REASON NON-BLACKS DON'T HAVE THEIR VERSION OF AN AL SHARPTON OUT THERE, IS SIMPLE: NOW, IF SOMEONE DOES SPEAK OUT, THE PRESSURE ON BARACK OBAMA TO JOIN SHARPTON IN THEIR "CRUSADE" WILL BE ENORMOUS. OBAMA MIGHT RESORT TO USING INTIMIDATION, AND PERSONAL ATTACKS TO GET HIS POINT ACROSS. OH, WAIT-HE ALREADY DOES THAT, DOESN'T HE?! LAST POINT: MICHAEL JACKSON,--AS MUCH AS I LOVED THAT GENIOUS--THE TRUTH IS VERY CLEAR THAT HE COMMITTED SLOW-SUICIDE. HE DIED A LONG TIME AGO, FOLKS. HIS KIDS PAID THE ULTIMATE PRICE FOR THAT. BUT NOW THEY HAVE A CHANCE AT A NORMAL CHILDHOOD.

Junkies die every day in every city. It is no more or less important because the junkie was Michael Jackson. Lots of junkies leave children behind, and unpaid debts, and criminal accusations. He's just another dead junkie.

when they willfully and knowingly administer a medication outside of it's intended use, they act with reckless abandon and he violated the oath he gave as a doctor "to do NO harm". Hhmmmmmmm.

IF THIS WERE A WHITE DOCTOR, I COULD SEE AL SHARPTON ALREADY CRYING "IT WAS WHITE MAN THAT KILLED MICHAEL! A WHIIIIITE MAAAANNNNN!" BUT, SINCE HE'S BLACK, THERE IS NO OUTRAGE! THAT FOLKS, IS SELECTIVE THINKING!!!

If indeed this is true I think Michael Jackson had a drug problem long before this and he was slowy killing himself. Perhaps that was not his intention but it happened anyways.

We all depend on doctors with their education and knowledge to know what they are doing. When money comes before the health of any of us, it is no longer about the patient. Therefore, it is irresponsible on the part of the doctors and should be considered manslaughter. Michael Jackson did not intend on dying, and I want justice for him and everyone else who've lost a family member that way. I know that doctors are human and make mistakes sometimes, but they need to keep in mind that patients are mortal beings not immortal specimens to test prescription drugs on.
