Serial Killer Identified

July 6, 2009 - 9:04 PM | by: Brooks Blanton

Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton identified the killer that terrorized Gaffney, South Carolina as 42 year old Patrick Tracy Burris. Blanton says he was a habitual felon and has a long criminal history. Burris was shot in a shootout with Gaston County, North Carolina Police at an abandoned house there.  Hundreds of people, included national and local media and members of the Gaffney community.  South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Director Reggie Lloyd held up a stack of papers saying Burris had a RAP sheet 25 pages long.  Lloyd blasted a breakdown in the justice system as to why Burris was out on the street.  Tests connected the gun that Burris used to shoot a police officer this morning to the shootings that happened last week in Gaffney.  Lloyd says they believe that Burris acted alone in the murders.

What is going on here? The world is gearing up for a nuclear war, our troops are in harm's way at this very moment, Our Prez tells the world that we aren't a Christian nation and that we are arrogant, and people with their heads in the sand are worshipping a pervert!

I have to agree with another comment I read here. I think the parole board members should be held accountable for the murders committed by this creep. I think the family of the victims should every right to sue members of the parole board, the prison system, the state attorney general and the Govenor of the state. They all had a hand in letting this garbage out of the bag.

Glad he was stopped but I hate that so many innocent people had to die from someone who never should have made it out of jail. I think the state who let him out should have to pay for all the funeral expenses and give to the family.

How long did it take them to put elvis in the grave? And how old was Lisa Marie's Mother (Priscilla) when Elvis married her? (under age)And how much girating and humping did Elvis do on stage? (Plenty) But I guess a difference in color makes the difference. Bottome line...he was loved just like Elvis was. And they're still flocking to Graceland to pay tribute to Elvis, who has been dead how many years? (Too many) No difference. So get over it.

The killer that terrorized Gaffney, South Carolina 42-year-old Patrick Tracy Burris was a habitual felon, has a long criminal history, and was let out two months ago ... :( Well, the deaths of the people in Gaffney rest on the heads of the state, local, judge and paroled board, thanks people for a great job. When will we learn to put these people away for life and best of all decrease the prison population, execute the piss ants!

What I bring away from this, again, is that our law enforcement and legal system has too many holes. Here however it looks like the courts failed again at putting a criminal where he belongs at the expense of 5 citizens. Our police officers can't operate with a revolving door court system.

I'm pretty sure that's "rap sheet" not "wrap sheet". RAP stands for Record of Arrest and Prosecution.

HUH?

WRAP sheet?? what is that? you wouldn't by any chance mean a RAP sheet would you? yikes. And what does this sentence mean? "Hundreds of people, included national and local media and members of the Gaffney community." I come here to get news, and instead I get confused. Why was there a shootout? were they on his trail, or was it for a different reason, and then they realized that he was the guy they were looking for?

Felons are prohibited by a dozen (or more) federal, state and local laws to possess any gun or to possess even one bullet. Obviously, what this country needs is more anti-Second Amendment laws pushed forward by another gaggle of Socialist-Democrats.
