Domestic Abuse Up, Shelters Brace for Cuts

With phones ringing off the wall and space at the shelter at or near capacity, Sheila Schmitz does not remember a busier time at the Guardian Angels Domestic Abuse Shelter in Joliet Illinois. The root of many cases seems to be money she says, typically job loss bringing more stress home.

FOX News visited two shelters in the Chicago area, and spoke with both counselors and victims. Watch a clip from Shella Schmitz, CEO of Guardian Angels and a victim of abuse who does not want to be identified.
